Monday, April 14th join us for the Ingmar Bergman classic, Virgin Spring. It's free and in a comfortable environment at the Stone Creek Bar where we have the entire back room to ourselves (no bar noise, our own restroom, our own coat rack, food and drink available), 149 East 27th Street. 7 PM

Thurs, April 17. DETERMINISM OR FREE WILL -- WHY SETTLE FOR LESS THAN BOTH? We are going to discuss American philosopher Daniel Dennett's book, Freedom Evolves.

It's a good book, it's available in paperback, and whether you choose to buy it, or get it from the library, or neither, will be unaffected by whether we live in a deterministic or indeterministic universe. I know this, for I am wise. Summaries will be available in advance for those who haven't finished it or chose not to start it by April 17th. For those who haven't read it, free summaries available in advance. Just click on the envelope next to my name and I'll e-mail it to you. 6:30-8 PM, Muhlenberg Branch Public Library
209 West 23rd Street (at 7th Ave)
3rd floor - yes elevator.
